Learning Facilitator (50 people)
Online Learning Assistance (OLA)
OLA is a program initiated by Project Child Indonesia starting 9 September 2020 as a
response to the uncertain circumstances occurring since the Covid-19 pandemic hit at the
beginning of March 2020 to address the key challenges of people who live in vulnerable
communities. To speed educational recovery, Facilitator volunteers are responsible for
teaching elementary school students through tutoring online during school from home.
Job Description
- Facilitate the tutoring session for elementary schools’ children each week.
- Manage the class and make a learning framework to help students understand the
learning materials. - Help the children with their school assessment (if necessary).
- Make a report card for each child.
Mindful English Class
As part of the educational recovery initiative, Project Child Indonesia along with CAKAP will
facilitate Mindful English Learning Classes to children living in vulnerable communities
(riversides) in Yogyakarta.
Job Description

- Manage the class using mindful practices to help students understand the learning
materials. - Help the children with their school assessment (if necessary).
- Make a report card for each child.
Requirements
- Volunteers must be at least 17 years old at the time of signing up for an
Information Session. - Open to university students, recent graduates, and young professionals.
- Strong communication abilities and organizational skills.
- Proactive, self-driven, resourceful, and humble individuals with a willingness to
learn. - Previous work experience is not required, however, experience in the field of
teaching and experience working with schoolchildren is considered an asset. - Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work with multicultural people of different national and cultural
backgrounds. - Have a good internet connection as well as supporting devices as the program
will be held online. - Undertake work orientation and training as required.
- Work within the duty statement on tasks suitable to their skills and experience.
Working Hours
Total working hours are 2 hours (2 hours each for tutoring sessions, class preparation, and evaluation).

- Standby in sekolah Sungai: every Tuesday & Friday 14.30 – 16.00 WIB

- PCI’s volunteers are not entitled to any monetary remuneration.
- Not all applicants will be accepted due to availability of volunteer positions.
Reporting
You are required to make weekly reports and submit a narrative report card at
the end of the volunteering period.
