The Volunteer Program provides opportunities for anyone who is interested to join our Project Based Volunteering Program.

Online Learning Assistance Program
Online Volunteer (5 people)
Job description:
- Teach the children in Sekolah Sungai using online platform
- Work with the Education Team in developing the learning materials (Theme: Environmental Studies)
- Online and offline volunteer will work as a team
Offline Volunteer (5 people)
Job description:
- Make sure the children obey the protective measures of COVID-19 (physical distancing, check body temperature & wear a mask, face shield, dan hand sanitizer)
- Assist the children to access the online class and help them if they have any questions and difficulties during the class in Sekolah Sungai
- Online and offline volunteer will work as a team
Requirement & Working Hours
Working Hours
- 2 hours for preparation class, 6 hours for class meeting per week (every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 15.30-17.00 WIB)
Reporting
- You’re required to submit narrative monthly report and weekly monitoring card during the volunteers period
Requirement
- The offline volunteers must stay in Yogyakarta and are willing to go to work in the field during the program.
- Open to university students, recent graduates, and young professionals.
- Strong communication abilities and organizational skills.
- Proactive, self-driven, resourceful, and humble individuals with a willingness to learn.
- Previous work experience is not required, however, experience in the field of teaching and experience working with schoolchildren is considered an asset.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work with multicultural people of different national and cultural backgrounds.
Also please bear in mind that:
- PCI’s volunteers are not entitled to any monetary remuneration. All costs related to travel, insurance, accommodation and living expenses must be provided by either the volunteers or their sponsoring institutions.
- The volunteers are responsible for obtaining the necessary visas and for arranging their travel.
- Not all applicants will be accepted due to the availability of positions & projects.

PCI’s Volunteer Program provides many opportunities for young people who are inspired by the ideas and works of PCI to gain more practiced skills by working on PCI’s projects. This program is open for all who are eager and excited to work voluntarily and want to directly manage PCI’s projects. The projects themselves are designed to provide the children, as our main target groups, many opportunities to improve their learning capacity. By participating as an intern in PCI you will gain more skills and improve them, these skills such as confidence, communication, responsibility, teamwork, building innovations, and also:
